Biography

Jenny O’Neill graduated from Jonathan Law High School in 2002 as the gymnastics program’s all-time leader in team points with 1,750. She remains etched in the Law H. S. record books. At the time of her graduation, she ranked first in all four events as well as the all-around. More than two decades later, in 2025, she still holds the school record on uneven bars (9.4), is tied for first on floor exercise (9.45), ranks second in the all-around (37.0) and vault (9.3), and stands third on balance beam (9.4). A four-time National High School Gymnastics Association All-American, Jenny was also a first team All-State selection each season of her high school career. She captured All-New England honors in 2000 and 2002. O’Neill capped her career by being named New Haven Register Co-MVP. In addition, she was a four-time SWC All-Conference gymnast, a four-time SWC All-Conference Academic Team honoree, and the 2002 Connecticut High School Scholar-Athlete. As a senior, Jenny was selected to the Connecticut National High School Gymnastics Team, where she represented the state on balance beam at nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jenny continued her gymnastics journey at Southern Connecticut State University, competing at the NCAA Division II level for four years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, followed by a master’s degree in Special Education from Western Connecticut State University. Jenny resides in Bethel (CT) with her husband, Kevin, and their two children, Kaylee and Aiden.
