Rhonda Boyd

Biography

Rhonda Boyd was one of Foran High School's elite multi-sport athletes. She broke the 1,000-point mark and was named to the New Haven Register Class L All-State squad as a senior. Rhonda graduated in 1988 as the school's leading scorer in basketball. Boyd led Foran High to back-to-back volleyball titles in 1986 and 1987. Rhonda attended Miami-Dade Community College, where she led the Jaguars to the 1989 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Volleyball National Championship. Boyd moved on to Syracuse University, where she played two seasons of NCAA Division I basketball in the Big East from 1991 through 1993. She was team co-captain as a senior. Rhonda graduated from Syracuse University in 1993.
