Jessica (Yanosy) Bataille

Biography

Jessica (Yanosy) Bataille batted .469 as a senior with 20 stolen bases for coach Michele Chartier at Jonathan Law High. A 1996 graduate, she was the New Haven Register All-Area softball Most Valuable Player. Also a star in basketball and volleyball for Law, Jessica was a four-year starting shortstop, a first-team All-South-West Conference selection and a Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star after a brilliant senior season. She went on to play NCAA Division I softball for the University of Connecticut Huskies, where she became a two-time first-team All-Big East shortstop and an all-Northeast Region All-American selection. Jessica was inducted into the Connecticut Scholastic & Collegiate Softball Hall of Fame in 2025.
