George Pfeil

Biography

George Pfeil played football and ran track at Jonathan Law High School. A 1967 graduate, Pfeil played halfback and defensive back for coach Vito DeVito when the Lawmen tied Fairfield Prep for the MBIAC title with a 7-1-1 record in the 1966 season. Pfeil, at 6-foot and 185 pounds, scored 11 touchdowns as a senior to lead the league and the Greater Bridgeport area in scoring. A sprinter on the track team, Pfeil ran the 100 and 200-yard dashes. George posted a best of 10.4 seconds in the 100. He had a long jump of 20 feet, 11.2 inches. Pfeil earned a full athletic scholarship to Boston College.
